FREIDA CLUB IS BACK!

Hello Community!

Freida Club is a platform intended to provide you with products and experiences that connect you to people and nature. For our initial launch we are featuring a series of PermaClub experiences to reconnect with our community and live our best slow lives.

PermaClub Experiences

"I have learned from Nature that dependence on unnatural beliefs weakens us in the struggle and shortens our breath for the race"- Luther Burbank (botanist, horticulturalist, & pioneer in agriculture science)

Made in Mexico

Mexican textiles are a key part of Mexican culture and the central piece of the identity of all of its civilizations. This is how they owned who they were and distinguished themselves from one another.

SincerelyAline X PermaClub

Sincerely Aline is about connecting and celebrating food with a focus on wellbeing.

For this workshop you will get to harvest your own cherries and join Aline in our outdoor kitchen to transform the cherries into an even more delicious treat.

Come visit us at Perma Club for a cherry harvest session! This is not your typical cherry, this is a Brazilian cherry. The edible fruit is a botanical berry. The taste ranges from sweet to sour, depending on the cultivar and level of ripeness (the darker red to black range is quite sweet, while the green to orange range is strikingly tart).

Bokashi Composting

Freida x Foodcraft

Bokashi is a composting method that is suitable for places like Hong Kong where there's limited space and you may or may not have a garden in your backyard. Bokashi method uses microorganisms known as 'Bokashi bran' to ferment organic food waste in a double insulated bucket. The compost made with this method will enrich your soil.

Who is Sacha Van Damme and what is PermaClub?

‘Care for people, care for the planet, share the surplus.’ These are the key ethics of permaculture, the holistic design philosophy that inspired Sacha Van Damme to start Perma Club. Sacha grew up in Clearwater Bay, Hong Kong, where the organic permaculture farm is based. ‘I was fortunate enough to always be surrounded by nature,’ he says. ‘The first time I saw a snake, it frightened me, and I felt vulnerable. I really understood to respect the natural world. The wilderness has its own hierarchy, and it is not our place to interfere with that.’

An Escape From Hong Kong

"Meet Permaclub and its owners, Sacha Van Damme and Pam Dabdoub – two of the most genuine, down-to-earth people in Hong Kong. Together, they show compassion towards the earth and humans, unsurpassed by anyone I have ever before encountered." -James Waters
